Johannes is one of Motivity’s Engineering Managers.  He focuses on empowering his team by removing technical hurdles and coaching engineers to reach their full potential while aligning our technical roadmap with the company’s broader goals. Instead of building the features himself, he collaborates with the team to build the environment, processes, and culture that allows everyone to deliver their best work consistently and sustainably. Johannes lives with his wife, Marina, and 14-year-old daughter, Nia, along with three "fur babies": cats Roxie and Trixie, and dog, Dallas in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. When not spending time with the family, he’s likely on the golf course (or simulator in the winter), which has become his primary athletic outlet now that his body has politely retired him from playing football (soccer). Speaking of football, Johannes is an avid fan of Kaiserslautern—though they’ve mostly provided him with misery over the last few years—while he maintains a less stressful attachment to Liverpool (thanks to Klopp) and follows the Wrexham story with a lot of excitement. To unwind, he loves watching comedy shows and stand-up, or diving into a mix of board games, video games, and biking.
